About The Driver
Had a great season last year, finishing 1st in the Ladies Class and, more gratifyingly, 8th overall. The new engine has transformed the 20/22 and made it a dream to drive. I hope I can improve on last year's times, we'll soon find out!
Hillclimb / Racing Experience
I bit the bullet and started serious hillclimbing in 1997 after rising to a challenge at an alcohol-imbibed evening with friends, me being the only non-competitor! Before that I had competed in the LDC Sprints at Wellesbourne (ah, memories!) and a few other track days. First competed in the Elan +2 that Paul picked me up in on our first date (ah, more memories!) and which we still own. I absolutely loved it. I was then trusted with the IWR Elan and did very well in it (still in the extremely capable hands of Martin Stretton). This is my fifth season with the 20/22 and my 'resident mechanic' has fitted a bigger 1500cc engine. I am told it will have a lot more torque and therefore be easier to drive - yeah right! Bring it on!
