Workshop

Unlike many garages, one of Paul Matty Sportscars' main activities centres around the workshop. Customers travel from far and wide to have their car tended, be it either restoration, chassis replacement, bodywork, gearboxes, engines and of course full restoration.

Our service and workshop management team Jenny Morris and Roy Bury (Hillclimb competitor, Escort Twincam) run a smooth ship and under their command is Brian Henshaw, Keith Butler and Malcolm Robinson. We have built an enviable reputation for reliable, quality work at competitive prices - our labour rates are currently:-

First generation Lotus (eg: early Elan, +2, Europas): £50.00 per hour.
Second generation Lotus (eg Esprit, new Elan, Elise, Exige): £50.00 per hour

Our reputation has travelled outside the UK and we have many Japanese and European customers for whom we regularly carry out major restoration work. So many times one hears tales of people being ripped off by overseas companies - but our reputation for quality work and trustworthiness makes our foreign customers feel secure when dealing with us.

Customers leaving their cars with us can be dropped off at the local station and, obviously, picked up when the work is completed.
